amy gutman
freelance writer & editor
Do you need a keynote speech? A blog post or feature story? Guidance on a challenging project? Whatever your writing needs, I can help.
Education, law, business, the arts—all of these are familiar terrain. During
four years as special assistant for communications to then-Harvard Law School
Dean (now U.S. Supreme Court Justice) Elena Kagan, I drafted speeches,
essays, and an array of external communications.
My work has appeared in
the New York Times, the Chicago
Tribune, the Huffington
Post, and Salon, among other venues, and recent freelance
projects include pieces for Harvard's
Berkman Center for Internet & Society and the Harvard School of Public
Health. I am also the author of two novels, both published by Little, Brown.
An honors graduate of Harvard Law School
and Harvard College,
I live in western Massachusetts
and work everywhere.
